Graduate of both the Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland and the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland under the supervision of Prof. Jerzy Nowosielski and the Graphic Arts Faculty in the Cooper-plate Atelier under the supervision of Prof. Stanislaw Wejman in 1995. In 1993 she acted as representative of the students of the Academy of Fine Arts the the 4th Biennial European Academies of Visual Arts in Maastricht (Holland). In 1992 she received the Gold Award in the competition Primus inter Pares from the Foundation for theRemarkably Gifted Youth and Their Teachers. In 1992/93 Beata Futro was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Art. From 1997 to 1998 she held a scholarship from the Indian Government in Dharamsala, India, for the Library of Tietan Works & Archives where she studied traditional Tibetan art- thangka painting - under the supervision one of the finest thangka masters Ven. Sangye Yeshe.
Beata Futro is involved in painting, drawing, workshop graphics and design graphics. Her works are part of collections in Germany, Switzerland, Holland, France, England, Japan and USA.
